Welcome
The Wales Mammal Group (WMG) is a Wales-based non-profit making organization established to further the conservation of mammals throughout Wales.
We were founded in 2004 by Geoff Liles, Kate Williamson, Dan Forman, Jean Matthews and Rob Colley, and launched at our first Wales Mammals Conference in March 2005.
The Group is run on a voluntary basis, and has no paid staff. The actions carried out by the WMG are determined by (and carried out by!) a Steering Group. Although not a registered charity, the WMG is a properly constituted body, and is affiliated to the Mammal Society.
We do not have a membership, but anyone interested in the activities and development of The Wales Mammal Group is encouraged to contact us with ideas and comments. A more formal opportunity to discuss the ways in which we develop, and our priorities, is provided during a special session during our Wales Mammal Conferences.
